strengthening the black family emailStrengthening the Black Family Pastors Breakfast & Community Town Hall
We are pleased to partner with the Douglass Leadership Institute to present the Strengthening the Black Family forum in Pompano Beach on Saturday, March 17. This free event will celebrate the importance of family in the black community while highlighting the challenges facing many children today due to single parent households, divorce and poverty. 

The event will be held in two parts, a continental breakfast and reception for pastors from 9-10 am (doors open at 8:30 am), and a community town hall meeting and discussion from 10 am-12 pm (with lunch to follow the community town hall meeting). 

During the event, participants will hear from and receive leadership training from respected political and policy experts, including FFPC’s President John Stemberger, Rev. Dean Nelson, President and CEO of the Douglass Leadership Institute, and Catherine Davis, Founder and President of the Restoration Project. The goal of this Saturday morning event is to discuss how black churches and families can be strengthened, as black American families are disproportionately disadvantaged in many ways.

Flourish 2018Flourish 2018 Conference
Flourish 2018 is a 2-day conference designed to strengthen and energize your faith and to equip you with the tools you need to engage our culture! 

This year’s special speakers include Gianna Jessen, a pro-life advocate who not only survived an abortion in the womb (which inspired the movie October Baby) but also has testified before Congress on the horrors of Planned Parenthood; and Deacon Ralph Poyo, Founder of New Evangelization Ministries. 

The conference will be held at Sheraton Suites Ft. Lauderdale at Cypress Creek, Fri April 20-Sat April 21. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students. Group rates are also available. Register before March 31, and you will receive $5 off your ticket price!

Christianity & Culture Conference Apr 20-21Christianity & Culture Conference
This conference is designed to help people of all ages develop a biblical worldview and think and live according to these principles. The worldview training will be provided by Worldview Academy in Titusville Friday and Saturday, April 20-21. 

The conference will be held at Trinity Community Church. Tickets are $30 for individuals, $55 for couples and $80 for families. Reduced early bird rates are available until Sunday, April 1.

Wait No More 2018 Orlando EventWait No More (Adoption/Foster Care Event)
Understand God’s heart for the orphan and learn more about foster care and adoption with Focus on the Family’s Wait No More free seminar event on Saturday, April 28. This special event includes information from experts on how to get started on your foster care or adoption journey, breakout and question and answer sessions, an opportunity to meet with community leaders and adoption agencies, and a complimentary lunch. Del TackettTransforming Florida Truth Project Reunion
Join us Saturday, April 28 as we celebrate Transforming Florida’s Truth Project Reunion. The event will be held in two parts–a morning training session with Dr. Tackett (creator of The Truth Project) who will be introducing his new series “The Engagement” and an evening reunion dinner with both he and Marc Fey. 

 In addition to featured guests, the dinner will include testimonies from individuals whose lives were changed by The Truth Project and a special tribute to R.C. Sproul. Tickets are now available to attend the training, the dinner or both events.

Please join us for a time of prayer, food and fellowship at the Apopka Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, May 3. FFPC President John Stemberger will be the keynote speaker for this National Day of Prayer event. The event is sponsored by the Apopka Christian Ministerial Alliance. The theme of this year’s National Day of Prayer is Unity. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling 407-886-7427.

Join us for the 2018 FPEA Homeschool Convention in Kissimmee Thursday-Saturday May 24-26, for the largest homeschooling event in the country. This 3-day convention will host a variety of helpful and informative workshops and trainings, including a Town Hall on Thursday night featuring FFPC President John Stemberger speaking on how to prepare your children to thrive in a hostile world. FFPC is proud to partner again with Patriot Academy to sponsor the 2018 Southeast Regional Patriot Academy in Tallahassee, June 11-13.  

Patriot Academy is an intensive leadership boot camp for young people ages 16-25.  Students develop leadership strategies, life purpose plans, media relations, public speaking advanced communication skills, campaign techniques, and a founding fathers’ philosophy of government.
