Voter Registration
Official Florida Voter Registration forms can be downloaded HERE:
Florida is often THE most critical swing state in Presidential elections.
Consider this:
- Florida’s population of 18 and over is 14,478,154 people.
- The total amount of adults in Florida that did not vote in 2008 were 6,087,410.
- The vote difference between presidential candidates Obama and McCain in 2008 was 236,450 votes.
- The total number of Unregistered Christians in Florida was 668,890.
Many conservative Christians are upset at the liberal policies coming out of Washington and their state legislatures, but and have not yet realized the connection between liberal policies and the failure of Christians to be registered to vote, or to vote their values.
Our country was founded on basic Judeo-Christian principles and we retain that worldview. We believe that being registered to vote, making the effort to be educated regarding the candidates and issues on the ballot, and finally taking the time to vote their values is only responsible citizenship and good stewardship. To this end, the Florida Family Policy Council provides support materials for bulletin inserts, sample sermons on contemporary issues, voter registration forms and guidelines, and non-partisan educational Voter Guides.
We encourage every Christian to vote and churches to provide non-partisan voter registration opportunity to their congregations, equipping them to be responsible citizens, and then encouraging them to vote their values.
